The MTX ultramicrotome has a 15 nm driven cutting stroke for the sectionning of large specimens and hard materials without chatter.
The PTXL ultramicrotome has patented Power Drive@ technology. When gravity fails, the power cutting stroke has enough strength to cut through even hard non-homogeneous specimens. The PTXL is extremely useful for sectioning polymers and thin films.
